Delta Chat is a unique messenger that leverages the vast and decentralized communication network of existing e-mail servers. It allows users to seamlessly chat with their e-mail contacts using their standard e-mail account.

In technical terms, Delta Chat functions as an e-mail application but presents a modern chat interface. It ensures that all chat and contact data remain securely stored on users' devices, without any uploads or centralized control of personal information like address books or calendars. Delta Chat operates without relying on any servers of its own, making it a truly decentralized platform.

One of the standout features of Delta Chat is its universal compatibility. Users can communicate with anyone worldwide by simply using their e-mail addresses. Recipients receive messages as regular e-mails and can conveniently reply using their preferred e-mail app, without the need to install Delta Chat, visit websites, or sign up anywhere else. Moreover, when sharing media files within a chat group, recipients receive a user-friendly e-mail with attachments, ensuring a seamless multimedia chatting experience.
